Our Offerings

Higher EnergyYoga Classes

Aroma Flow

Vinyasa flow meets aromatherapy — and it’s as dreamy as it sounds. Aroma Flow is a gently heated (95°) vinyasa yoga class where flowing breath-linked movement meets thoughtfully chosen essential oils to create a truly calming, sensory experience. Build strength, increase flexibility, and find your moving meditation — all while smelling amazing. No experience needed, every level welcome, and child’s pose is always an option. Honoring your body IS yoga!

Core Flow

Every Core Flow class weaves core strengthening into your yoga flow, targeting not just your abs but all the deep stabilizing muscles that support your spine and power your movement. Build deep-down strength while moving through a traditional Flow class. Develop the power that lies at the core center of your body!

Fire Fusion

Fire Fusion is a Dragonfly original — you won’t find this class anywhere else. This class own own take on traditional hot yoga blended with Flow, practiced in a 105° room that really sink into each pose. The set sequence is the same every time, which means you can track your progress, set real goals, and watch your strength, endurance, and flexibility improve week to week. It’s challenging, it’s hot, and it’s completely ours. Come see what you can accomplish!

Flow

Our foundational yoga class (and most popular for good reason)! Flow is a heated vinyasa yoga class where breath and movement link together into one satisfying, sweaty moving meditation. Build strength, increase flexibility, find your focus, and have fun doing it. Every instructor brings their own unique style to the mat, so we genuinely recommend trying a bunch of different teachers. You’ll never get bored, we promise. Breathe, sweat, move!

Flow & Lift

Flow & Lift is what happens when yoga and strength training share a mat! We add light-to-medium dumbbells to vinyasa flows to increase muscle endurance and add a new challenge to your practice, and throw in just enough low impact cardio to keep your heart happy. All levels, all bodies, totally welcome.

Flow & Yin

The best of both worlds — Flow & Yin pairs an energizing vinyasa flow to build heat and strength with a grounding yin sequence to stretch deep into the shoulders, hips, and spine. The ultimate balance of effort and release, all in one class. You’ll leave blissed out and ready to face the world.

Power Flow

Ready to level up? Power Flow takes everything you love about our Flow class and turns up the intensity. You’ll move through more challenging standing poses, arm balances, and inversions. That said, options are always offered so that the intensity and challenge is up to you! Power, sweat, fly.

Yoga Up

Yoga Up is for when you want to get your heart pumping and really go for it. A full body workout blending yoga, cardio, and strength training, Yoga Up is designed to build physical and mental power in one energizing, sweat-inducing class. All levels welcome, with options to take it up or down a notch. Every class is unique, so your body and mind never stop being challenged.

More Chill Yoga Classes

Aroma Yin

Life gets loud — Aroma Yin is your permission slip to slow down. Unlike our flow classes, yin yoga is a floor-based practice of long-held, prop-supported postures that release deep into the connective tissue, joints, and ligaments that faster-paced classes don’t quite reach. Add in the calming benefits of aromatherapy and you’ve got a recipe for improved flexibility, a greater sense of vitality, and some serious stress relief.

Aroma Slow Flow

All the good stuff of our Flow classes, just at a pace where you can actually pause and take it in. Aroma Slow Flow weaves essential oils into a calm, sweet practice of sun salutations, standing postures, balancing poses, twists, and a deeply relaxing savasana. Perfect for beginners wanting to learn the poses, experienced yogis looking to slow down and deepen their practice, or anyone who just needs to exhale.

Chakra Flow

Chakra Flow is a little bit yoga, a little bit meditation, and a whole lot of good energy. Each class centers around one of the seven chakras (root, sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and crown), weaving together guided meditation, pranayama breathwork, and key poses to help you find balance and inner calm. Add candlelight, heat, and music and you’ve got the perfect way to ease out of your day and into your evening.

Fire Slow Flow

Like our Slow Flow but turned up a notch — Fire Slow Flow is a mindful vinyasa practice in 105°, giving your muscles maximum heat to sink deeply into each pose. Class builds gradually, blending breathwork, yoga Flow poses, and breath-linked movement to help you slow down and find that sweet mind-body connection. The heat boosts endorphins and reduces stress too. So yeah, you’ll feel amazing afterwards.

Prenatal Yoga

A gentle, non-heated yoga class designed to celebrate and support your changing body throughout every stage of pregnancy. Prenatal yoga builds strength and flexibility, reduces lower back pain and swelling, improves circulation, and helps ease the anxiety that comes with growing a human. Breathing exercises and modified poses make this class safe and accessible at any stage of pregnancy.

Slow Flow

Slow Flow is your invitation to pay attention. Same heated studio, same vinyasa foundations — but with more time to breathe, align, and really settle into each pose before moving on. Class moves through sun salutations, standing postures, balancing poses, twists, and a deeply relaxing savasana, with emphasis on the connection between breath and movement. Still challenging, just more intentional. A great entry point for beginners and a great reset for seasoned yogis.

Slow Flow & Meditation

Slow Flow & Meditation is your two-for-one ticket to a calmer body and a quieter mind. The first half moves through a gentle, breath-linked vinyasa flow to stretch, strengthen, and open up the body at a pace that actually lets you feel each pose. The second half transitions into guided meditation and breathwork to reduce stress and promote mental clarity. Bring whatever the day threw at you, leave it all on the mat.

Yin

The perfect complement to your flow and fitness classes, Yin is a floor-based practice of long-held, prop-supported poses targeting the connective tissue in the hips, pelvis, and lower spine that faster-paced classes don’t quite reach. Expect deep tissue opening, serious restoration, and a greater sense of flexibility — some practitioners even swear they leave feeling an inch or two taller. Come see for yourself!

Yin & Meditation

Yin & Meditation is the ultimate wind-down combo — long-held yin poses to release deep into the connective tissue of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine, followed by a guided meditation and breathwork session to quiet the mind and find some serious mental clarity. Two practices that were made for each other. Leave feeling refreshed, balanced, and ready to take on whatever life throws at you.

Stuff we get asked (a lot)

Are all of Dragonfly's classes heated?

Yep, mostly! The majority of our yoga classes are hot. Our main room runs at 95°F and we also have a milder room at 75-85°F for some classes. Hot yoga is kind of our thing, but we’ve got options if you’re not quite ready to turn up the heat. Look for the “Mild” tag on our schedule for not-hot classes.

What kinds of yoga classes do you offer in Madison?

Oh, a lot. We offer 15+ yoga class styles across our 5 Madison-area locations, over 100 total classes per week! We’ve got hot vinyasa flow, power yoga, slow flow, yin yoga, restorative yoga, aroma yoga, chakra flow, prenatal yoga, gentle flow, and more. Whether you want to sweat it out or slow it down, we’ve got a class for that.

I'm a total beginner. Can I actually do this?

100% yes. We have beginner-friendly classes for people who have never done yoga before, and every class offers modifications so you can go at your own pace. Our instructors are really good at meeting people where they are. No experience, no problem, just come as you are! For personalized class recommendations, contact our Yoga Advisor!

What's the difference between vinyasa and yin yoga?

Great question! Vinyasa is a flowing, breath-linked style where you move dynamically from pose to pose — it builds heat, strength, and flexibility. Yin yoga is the opposite: slow, still, and deeply restorative, with long-held poses that target connective tissue and promote relaxation. Both are amazing, and honestly a lot of our members do both. Not sure where to start? Our yoga advisor can help point you in the right direction.

Is hot yoga good for stress relief and flexibility?

It really is. The heat helps your muscles relax more deeply, making it easier to build flexibility safely. And the breath-focused, mindful nature of yoga (especially restorative and yin styles) is genuinely one of the best things you can do for stress. A lot of our members tell us yoga at Dragonfly is their favorite part of their week. No pressure though. 😊

Is yoga good for back pain or other ailments?

Many of our members have found that regular yoga practice has helped with their chronic health conditions or recovery from injury. That said, we always recommend checking in with your healthcare provider before taking class if you have any health issues. Our instructors are happy to offer modifications to suit your needs!

Do you offer prenatal yoga in Madison?

We do! Our prenatal yoga classes are specifically designed for expecting mothers and taught by instructors experienced in prenatal movement. It’s a wonderful way to stay active, reduce stress, and connect with your body throughout pregnancy.

I'm a runner or cyclist — is yoga worth adding to my routine?

Short answer: yes. Longer answer: yesssss! Madison is full of people logging miles on the lake path and the Capital City Trail, and yoga is honestly one of the best things you can add to that routine. It loosens up the tight calves, hamstrings, and hip flexors that running and cycling love to wreck (and gets into the deep connective tissue that foam rolling can’t quite reach). Your core gets stronger, your form gets better, and you recover faster between workouts. Many of our most dedicated members showed up originally because their knees or IT band sent them a strongly worded memo. They stayed for everything else!

Do you have yoga classes near me? Where are your locations?

We’ve got 5 studios across the Madison area — Downtown, East Madison, Fitchburg, Middleton, and Verona — so there’s a good chance we’re right in your backyard. Serving all of Dane County and beyond!

How often should I take yoga classes?

Most people find a sweet spot at 2-3 classes per week, which is enough to build consistency and start feeling the results. That said, even once a week makes a difference, and we have drop-in options so you can come whenever works for you. No membership required to get started!
