My Teaching Style

I want students to leave my class feeling proud of themselves, and like they had fun! I love building students up and making them feel empowered to push themselves a little bit harder. Like everything in life though, balance is so important, and as much as I like the powerful poses often found in escalations, I think it’s just as important to give the body time to release and recover. My goal is for my students to leave their mats feeling better and stronger than when they arrived, both mentally and physically.


I started practicing Yoga around 2018 when I was an athlete in college. My practice started as a tool for recovery from long practices, workouts, and games, and quickly turned into much more. I loved both the mental and physical challenge yoga provides, but most importantly I loved how much better I felt leaving my mat. Yoga has been a way for me to reset and be present with myself. It is one of my favorite self-care habits and has been so great for my overall health!

Birds of Paradise – This pose makes me feel strong! I love the challenge and that there is still room to grow in it.

The people! It is such a wonderful community that I have met so many wonderful people through. Dragonfly has created a safe, welcoming space for anyone looking to start their yoga journey, and I love that about this place!

Little Known Fact About Me

I have only lived on Big Ten college campuses! (Grew up in Ann Arbor, attended Indiana University in Bloomington, and now live in Madison)
