Since I moved to Madison a year ago, I had been looking for an accessible yoga studio where I could develop my yoga practice with mindfulness. When Downtown Dragonfly opened early in July, I found the place I was looking for!
I started with Bikram Yoga 4 years ago and immediately loved the practice in high temperatures. In May 2014 I did my teacher training in Vinyasa Krama Yoga, but after that I lost my regular practice. In the time I have spent at Dragonfly, I have been getting my practice back and I’m so grateful for that.
I enjoy that mindful practice is encouraged, and all Dragonfly teachers are amazing guides to help you get there. When I am at Dragonfly, I can leave everything behind the door and just focus on me. The feeling of liberation after every class is the best.
Not only does my body get stronger everyday, but I also feel more aware and resilient. Awareness and resilience are amazing tools to have and walk with in this life.
I completed the 60-day Summer Challenge in less than 60 days, and it was the push I needed to get my practice back. Now I go to at least 5 classes a week, but I’m always craving more time to come to class.
My favorite classes are the Flow classes. Yoga is a beautiful path to follow every day!
