Fascia is a fibrous tissue that ‘connects’ every cell in our body, surrounding muscle, bone, nerves, organs and ligaments. Overtime, our fascia can become hardened, causing stiffness, pain and discomfort in our bodies. This is where Fascia Yoga comes in!
Fascia Yoga is designed to explore the way the body moves as a whole through the fascia system. The class is slow and restorative in its nature, which can gently release and smooth fascia in places it has become stuck. This release will help our bodies feel more springy and strong, yet lighter and softer. It will change the way you move your body!
In Fascia Yoga, you will experience yoga and your body in a whole new way. In this class we allow the body to create shapes and asanas, listening to the sensations of the body, centered around the breath. It’s not a sequence of poses like Flow, it’s not holding poses like Yin, it’s truly it’s own thing, based on really listening and feeling within our bodies. Give it a try and feel the difference.
