How did you get started at Dragonfly?
I’ve been coming to Dragonfly on and off since 2012. I was introduced to Dragonfly through student orgs in college. I had a membership for a while in 2016/2017, and then ran into some injuries. I just started coming again last November, and have loved returning to yoga with Dragonfly.

What was your yoga or barre experience before joining us?
My yoga and barre experience has almost exclusively been with Dragonfly, with a few classes at the student gyms thrown in. I’ve always felt at home at Dragonfly.

What do you enjoy most about attending Dragonfly classes?
I love the energy in the room, especially when we’re all trying something new or trying not to fall over in a balance pose. The instructors really cultivate an environment where you are encouraged to be respectful of where your body is on a given day but also to push yourself to see what your body is capable of doing. I love when we are given a few interpretations of a pose, so I can start to work into something more challenging when it feels right.

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since you started taking classes?
My body overall has felt a lot better. I feel so much stronger and more stable. It’s been great to feel like my body can support me in ways it couldn’t a year ago.

How often do you attend, and do you have a favorite class?
I usually attend 3-4 times a week! My favorite classes are Flow and Slow Flow. I love a good balance sequence!

I love that hot yoga can just be whatever you need it to be on any given day. You can come in tired or sore and have a totally different practice than usual, but still leave refreshed and realigned.
