How did you get started at Dragonfly?
Like many, I was first a snowbird, looking for hot yoga during the restorative, cold, winter months, before establishing a more regular commitment.

What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly?
I had attended some classes at D-Fly, IFY, and some stuff at home, mostly to try to accelerate healing when my body was broken from playing soccer or running.

What do you enjoy most about attending Dragonfly classes?
I enjoy using class as an excuse to practice metta and getting to flow with my lover, Audra! My go to move is getting a run in before class, and using yoga as functional overreach, working on balance and strength when I am a bit fatigued. I’m hoping it will serve as good pre-hab, keeping me healthy and less injury prone.

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since you started taking classes?
I am using this year of membership to explore more deeply the effects on my body-mind which I (ab)use most often in endurance activities, and so far it seems to support my fitness goals and I think is making me more well-rounded, in more ways than one.

How often do you attend, and do you have a favorite class?
I hit up class 3-4x/week, and go up to 6-7x/week in the winter when I am running less. I like to flow! Shoutouts to Mariah, Mariana, Dallas, Rhiannon, and Abby!

Among my many other interests as a self-styled dilettante, I’m a flatlander who has a passion for mountain running/climbing, a genetic counselor, evangelist of live soul and blues, and overall pathologically curious person. If I’m not running, flowing, writing, or planning the next adventure, there is a good chance my head is in a book.
