How did you get started at Dfly?
Dfly came highly recommended when I moved to Verona about eight years ago. I’d always been a bit of a dabbler when it came to workouts and yoga—never super consistent. But about a year ago, something just clicked, and now it’s wild to think how much the classes have become an integral part of my routine and a real reset for me.
What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly?
When I lived in Wausau, there was a hot yoga studio that offered a $5 community class every Tuesday, and I used to drop in for those sessions. That’s really where my hot yoga journey began.
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
The aroma towels, that satisfying sweat, and my post-class showers.
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Absolutely. Since taking classes at Dfly, I’ve noticed a real shift in both my mental and physical health. The classes help me feel stronger, more grounded, and more energized overall. On rough days—whether work has been overwhelming or my mind is spiraling—just one class can pull me out of that funk.
As I get older, I’m more aware that my body won’t always be able to keep up the same way, so I’m committed to taking care of it now—so it doesn’t break down on me later.
One thing that’s really kept me motivated is the seasonal class challenges. I set a personal goal to complete all four seasons—I started with Spring, finished Summer, and now I’m well on my way to checking off Fall. It’s been such a rewarding way to stay consistent, hold myself accountable, and collect some of that fun Dfly swag along the way.
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
I usually make it to class about 3–4 times a week. I’ve really found a good rhythm with my schedule and love each class for different reasons, but Kaylin’s 11 a.m. Saturday Flow—the playlist always hits, the aroma towels are always extra cold, and it’s the perfect way to reset after a busy work week—is definitely my favorite.
Please feel free to share any other thoughts you have about Dfly, hot yoga, or your life as we would love to know more about you.
What I value most about Dfly—and honestly, the biggest flex—is the strong sense of community and inclusivity the studio creates. No matter what stage of life you’re in, your level of experience, or how you’re feeling that day, there’s always a class that meets you where you are. The instructors consistently encourage you to take what you need in the moment, offering modifications when something doesn’t feel right. It’s shifted my perspective on what “working out” can look like—it’s no longer about pushing through but about showing up for yourself. Thank you, Dfly.
Instructor Kaylin H.: “Lindsay is always an absolute pleasure to have in class! If you’re ever curious about how to use blocks through an entire flow class, Lindsay’s practice is a great example! I love how she makes the class work for her; never shying away from props and modifications!”
