
How did you get started at Dfly?
I started with Dragonfly during a cold Wisconsin month, when the idea of a hot yoga class sounded amazing!
What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly?
I had tried a yoga class with a friend many years ago when my husband and I were living in Florida, but did not try it beyond that, until trying Dragonfly!
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
The positive energy, the incredible instructors, and the amazing community of people that attend!
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Dragonfly has changed my life in so many amazing and beautiful ways, that I will forever be grateful! This January, I made the decision to prioritize my health, and I kicked off the year by attending an event at the Verona Dfly location with Little Words Project. We got an incredible workout that day, and I bought a bracelet with the words “Keep Going”, that I continue to wear to remind and inspire me. Which led into March, where Dfly Middleton hosted a yoga and book swap event, that gave my introverted self, a warm and welcoming space to meet and talk with fellow yogis and book lovers, where we made book marks and swapped fun reads. I had an incredible time and it was so nice to be able to take the time to connect with people! And the seasonal class “challenges” this year have brought me so much joy! I complete the Spring and Summer challenges, and not only do they inspire me to stay consistent and challenge myself, but how can you not love the Dfly swag you get once you complete the challenge! (Stamping my way through the fall challenge now for those super cute and cozy looking socks!) Over the summer, I attended an event hosted by Tiffany that included a core yoga class with a talk about gut health with Verona Chiropractic. Because of this event at Dragonfly, Dr. Bailey is helping me through the process of healing my gut, and helping me be a healthier me, in a way that I have not felt in years! And without Dragonfly, I would have never taken this step in my broader health journey. And I am excited to share that since kicking off my health journey this January, I have lost 20 lbs and feel the strongest that I have ever felt! And I would not have been able to do this without the encouragement and support of my Dragonfly community!
How often do you attend classes?
I attend 3-4 classes per week! And it is so hard to decide on a favorite class when there are so many amazing classes! But Lexi’s Lift & Flow 45 and Kim & Carrie’s Power Up 45 are my favorites!
The instructors and team at Dragonfly make me feel like I belong! Whenever I come to one of the studios, I am always greeted with a big smile and the warmest “Hi Megan”. The feeling of belonging that is created when someone takes the time to learn your name, and a little about you – means the world to me! It makes me look forward to every class, and excited for every chance I get to attend! I love the community at Dragonfly! The community of people that attend Dragonfly are amazing! Everyone is so kind and encouraging, and there is beauty in being with a community that wants to get an amazing workout together, while also creating a space for joy, fun, and encouragement for one another. There is nothing like it! I am so thankful for Dragonfly – Dragonfly gives me a space to show up as myself, encourages my well being, and brings me so much joy and happiness!
To the Dragonfly team – I don’t know how to begin thanking you enough! Because of Dragonfly, I have a place that not only I feel that I belong, but it has helped me improve my health in ways that I would have never done without you.
