How did you get started at Dfly?
I got started on Dragonfly when I moved back home December 2022 and wanted to find a way to move my body. I had done some workout classes in Indianapolis but never went in any consistent or meaningful manner. I had heard some good things from my sister and some coworkers and decided to try it out. The Dfly instructors were very supportive and patient with a semi-beginner. I loved every second of the class, and have been going ever since.

What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly? What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I had done a few other fitness classes but never had any sort of schedule. I really enjoy the fact that there’s no pressure and it’s really just about moving your body and taking what you need. I also never feel rushed in any of my classes like I did in other traditional workout classes. The feeling afterwards + the community. I truly view Dfly as one of my third spaces. Even when I feel low energy, I always feel amazing after class. It is so nice to have a safe space to truly honor my body and not think of the outside world for the next 45-60 minutes. It helps quiet all the outside noise.

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
I learned that I don’t always need to go 100% all the time. It’s truly about listening to my body and what it needs in the moment. I feel more confident and willing to take on new challenges. If I fall out of a pose, I can just get right back into it.

How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
I typically like to attend 3-4 times a week. I have Monday off and I always try to get to a class with my sister. I find that it’s amazing bonding time!

Dragonfly has been instrumental in helping me find balance in a busy schedule. I love that it allows me to dedicate some time to honor my body, connect with my community and loved ones. Thank You Dfly!
