My Teaching Style
I offer classes that weave traditional and creative sequences together through dance-like transitions. My sequences are intentional, built from the body’s foundation, and connected to the breath. I hold space to recognize, explore, and apply ancient yogic wisdom through the way we move, both on and off the mat.
I teach classes that I would like to take - classes that allow space for stillness and mobility as well as peace and power. My goal is for students to leave class feeling excited, challenged, and strong. I aim to create a space in which independent practice and collective community merge.
Experience
My initial exposure to yoga was back in 2014, but I didn’t start practicing consistently until 2019. After the pandemic, I knew I wanted to learn more about the practice of yoga and get more involved at my studio - Dragonfly. When I heard there was a 200-hour teacher training starting in the fall of 2021 at Dragonfly, I jumped at the opportunity. Once I completed my 200-hour teacher training in March of 2022, I went straight into teaching at Dragonfly’s downtown location.
I had the incredible opportunity to teach for 2 years at Dragonfly. Unfortunately, I had to step back from teaching in 2024, but my practice didn’t stop there. In the summer of 2025, I felt called to further explore the roots of yoga, so I continued my education of yoga philosophy. When I still wanted to learn more, I decided to pack my bags and head to Portugal to complete my 300-hour teacher training. I completed my 300-hour teacher training in December of 2026 and returned home to Madison eager to continue teaching.
Favorite Pose
Every time I practice yoga I have a new favorite pose! As of this moment, my favorite “pose” would actually be the space between poses. In my opinion, the transitions between poses allow for the greatest creativity and intention. They are the spaces that allow us to harness control of our physical movement in order to build a strong foundation.

Why I Love Dragonfly
I love Dragonfly because of the community! At Dragonfly, we have the opportunity to learn so much from the teachers and students. Every person who enters Dragonfly has a unique experience with yoga, and everyone that I’ve encountered since 2019 is willing to both share and learn.
Little Known Fact About Me
I am named after the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range, and I have visited the mountains that gave me my name twice!
