Angele W. | Dragonfly Hot Yoga Madison WI

Angele W.

It has been so long that I don’t remember if I started at Middleton in 2012 or 13. I was an MMSD school teacher, who had a part time job teaching Group Fitness at Princeton Club West. Several members of my PC classes told me about Dfly and I tried it.

The Hot Yoga format really appealed to me, and I found some incredible instructors who piqued my curiosity about real yoga. At the time I was teaching Group Fit and yoga/fitness fusion type classes. I knew Tiffany as a former coworker, and she was a big part of what convinced me to do yoga teacher training that summer.

I am a proud graduate of the Summer 2014 Dfly immersion training… I believe we were the first teacher training class. I love the community of members and instructors I have met over the years. Especially after teacher training, it always feels like coming home to me when I roll out my mat in the Hot Studio.

Yoga teacher training changed my life. The development of a committed yoga practice was so grounding and healing after years of built up stress/overwork teaching school, combined with physical wear and tear after so many years of doing and teaching hard-core fitness classes. Yoga taught me to listen to my mind, body and spirit which gave me the courage to retire from teaching school sooner than I had planned to. This opened up more opportunities for me to teach Yoga at PC West, which I am still doing to this day.

Most recently I completed Yin Teacher Training. It has been a journey to appreciate and understand the need for the gentler side of yoga, and all it has to offer. I attend an average of 3 classes a week at Middleton. One of my favorite classes is the Saturday Fire Slow Flow with Brenda.

It is no exaggeration to say that the day I walked in the door of the Middleton studio changed the direction of my life. I am so grateful to Dragonfly, and the big part they have played in my journey over the last 12 years.

Instructor Masha P.: “Angele is a dedicated yogi whose smile and positive attitude radiate throughout the entire room. She brings genuine joy to her practice, always in tune with what her body needs most. Her presence on the mat is a reminder that yoga isn’t just about strength or flexibility — it’s about showing up with an open heart. She inspires those around her simply by being herself.”
