
How did you get started at Dfly?
Heather: I first joined Dragonfly in 2011. At that time, I was a new mom to a busy 1 year old (Graham!) and was in need of time to myself. My husband told me about a new yoga place nearby and so I decided to check it out. I was immediately hooked! I loved the heat and the atmosphere was so inviting. I felt like I could just come to the studio and reset. Dragonfly was just what I needed at the time – and I have continued to come back to the studio since then.
Graham: My mom! I play soccer and was looking for a way to stay active in the winter months.
What is/was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly?
Neither of us had any yoga or barre experience prior to attending Dragonfly.
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
Heather: There are so many things to enjoy about the classes! The instructors are great and there is no pressure to do or be anything other than yourself. I love the feeling of getting a good work-out in the Up classes and also the feeling of relaxation after leaving a Yin class. It is easy to make friends in class – especially if you attend the same ones regularly. The studio is so comfortable and inviting and feels like a home away from home.
Graham: I enjoy the social aspect and all of the friends I have made. I also like working out and lifting weights. I especially enjoy a good playlist. And the heat makes the studio a great place to take a pre-class nap :).
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Heather: Absolutely! I have been a distance runner since high school, and the classes at Dragonfly are a nice addition to my fitness routine. I feel mentally and physically stronger while running since adding yoga to my life. Whenever I need to clear my head or de-stress after a long day, I crave attending classes at Dragonfly. I find that I am able to stay more present when I regularly attend classes as well.
Graham: I have noticed that I can focus more since starting at Dragonfly. It has helped me with my classes in school. I also am getting physically stronger and feel like I am faster and more agile on the soccer field.
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
We both enjoy the Power Up and Yoga Up classes. We try to attend 3-4 times a week together!

Heather: I am so glad that yoga and Dragonfly came into my life 15 years ago. And it feels special to be able to attend classes with my son now. My daughter wants to go to classes as soon as she is old enough too – so I am looking forward to that as well.
Graham: I love everything about soccer! I play and also referee. I like to travel, camp, cook and hang out with my family and friends. And I like going to Dragonfly with my mom.
