How did you get started at Dfly?
I’d been to other studios over time, not all the experiences felt ‘like me’, not anything I could put my finger on, just more a sense that it wasn’t my home. When Dragonfly opened around 2015 I gave it a try and never looked back.

What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly?
I’ve learned not all studios are a fit for me. That doesn’t mean they aren’t good – I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for until I came to Dragonfly then it snapped into place. It’s the people, from the instructors to fellow yogis when someone says ‘you’re here and that’s a great start’ well, that’s pretty special. I dipped my toes into the ‘Barre’ water by taking lessons with Lindsey and she showed me how much I was capable of doing. That led me to my first class with Joyce who said ‘welcome, you’re gonna have fun’ and off we go!

What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
Aroma yin is incredibly restorative both physically and mentally. Barre is challenging on so many fronts – and helps me build strength and capabilities at my own pace.

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Breast cancer in 2022 kinda knocked me down and with the help of my husband, daughter and a halo of incredible friends I learned I can do really hard things, like barre.

How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
The Saturday Aroma Yin and M-W Barre are my anchors – I make this investment in myself.

Instructor Lena R.: “Linda is always fun to have in class! She is cheerful with a side of sassy that I very much appreciate. I often see Linda taking modifications because she is tuned in to what she needs on any given day and she respects these needs. Thank you for being a wonderful presence in class Linda and for being dedicated to Dragonfly for many years!”
