How did you get started at Dfly?
I got started at Dragonfly shortly after the Verona location opened. I had always wanted to try hot yoga, so when the Verona location opened only a few minutes away from my home, the convenience factor won me over and I had to go for it. I’ve been hooked ever since!

What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly?
I had never done barre prior to joining Dragonfly, and I had tried yoga here and there at different places over the years, but didn’t connect to it until recently. I finally got to a point in my life where quieting my mind and connecting with my body became more of a priority and the stars aligned.

What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I love the instructors and the yogi community. I also love the way I feel after a class – so relaxed and energized! Hot yoga has become a way for me to reset my day and tune out the outside world. It has worked wonders for me both mentally and physically!

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
I have struggled with back and neck pain for basically the last 25 years. I have definitely noticed how the yoga and the stretching keeps my muscles nimble and flexible, and prevents that pain from creeping up.

How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
I try to attend 3-4 days a week. Flow/Yin is definitely my favorite class, with both Kristen on Fridays and Meghan on Sundays!

I’m a working wife and mother, and a very career-driven person. I stay very booked and busy; but I’ve learned how important it is to step back, take a break, get some time to myself, and de-stress. Yoga has helped me become more of a clear-minded and intentional individual, and I’m eternally grateful to Dragonfly for that! My career has become less of a priority recently, and I’ve finally allowed myself to have more of a work/life balance. My philosophy is to live life 100, and that definitely includes self care!
