How did you get started at Dfly?
I started at Dragonfly in September 2024, shortly after transferring to UW–Madison. I had taken a few yoga flow and Pilates classes in the past, and I knew I wanted to continue practicing because of the mental clarity and physical benefits it brought me. From my very first class, I fell in love—with the welcoming atmosphere, the supportive community, and the intentional grace woven into each session.

What was your yoga/Barre experience before Dfly?
Before coming to Dragonfly, I began my yoga journey during the spring prior to transferring. I attended a small studio in LaCrosse called Root Down a few times a week, which was my first introduction to heated yoga. That studio completely transformed my outlook on both life and fitness. Once I made yoga a regular part of my routine, I felt a spark within me that changed everything. I also attended a few classes at a studio in my hometown of Wausau called SALT. They offered hot mat Pilates, which was intense and left me breathless—but in the best way. It introduced me to more upbeat, heat-driven workouts that pushed me and made me feel amazing afterward.

What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
What I enjoy most about attending Dragonfly classes is the sense of community and peace that comes with each visit. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and I always feel included and supported. The instructors consistently inspire me to push myself and grow, and the encouragement they offer is truly unmatched.

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Since I began taking classes, my overall well-being has improved tremendously. The combination of mental and physical benefits has been truly life-changing. Yoga has taught me to slow down, appreciate the little moments, and embrace the present—especially in a world that moves so quickly. I’ve become almost addicted to showing up for class, carving out that sacred hour to decompress and quiet my mind. It leaves me feeling refreshed, centered, and more prepared to take on the rest of my day with a clear head. It has shown me gratitude like nothing has before. Most importantly, yoga has deepened my journey with self-love and reminded me of the importance of taking care of myself—for me.

How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
I usually attend classes about three times a week—sometimes more, sometimes less. While I truly enjoy all the classes Dragonfly has to offer, my favorites are definitely the early morning flows or a refreshing Good Morning Power-Up. There’s nothing like starting the day with movement and energy!

Please feel free to share any other thoughts you have about Dfly, hot yoga, or your life as we would love to know more about you
Dragonfly and yoga in general has been a total game changer for me. As a student balancing classes and part-time work, life can get overwhelmingly busy and stressful. But that one hour I spend at a Dragonfly class is truly the highlight of my day.

A little about me: I love running, Pilates, yoga, soaking up the sun, spending time with friends and family, hiking, and being around any and all animals. If you ever see me around, please don’t hesitate to say hi — I love meeting new people and expanding my community every day!
