How did you get started at Dfly?
I first started going to Dragonfly when I was in high school in 2012 to keep active during off-season for soccer and gain more flexibility. From the first class, I was hooked! The energy in the studio, the variety of classes, and the warmth of the instructors made it a wonderful place for me to learn more about yoga and really find my own flow. It’s become a place where I feel both challenged and supported in my yoga journey.

What was your yoga/barre experience before Dfly?
Before joining Dragonfly, I had absolutely no yoga experience. I had no consistent or structured workout routine other than sports. I wasn’t sure what to expect at first, but quickly came to fall in love with the practice, the heat and the time I get to spend with friends attending classes! I’ve come a long way since then, and it’s been amazing to see how much my body and mind have grown through these practices! Barre was also completely new to me, and I was excited to try something different that would complement my yoga practice and work muscles I truly never knew I had (IYKYK). Dfly gave me the opportunity to explore different styes of yoga like Yin and Flow, focus on mind-muscle connection in Barre and embrace the challenges of a Power Up class.

What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
What I enjoy most about attending Dfly classes is the opportunity to take time for myself and practice self-care. When I choose to show up on my mat, it’s my moment to tune out the world and focus entirely on my well-being—physically, mentally, and emotionally. It’s not just about the workout; it’s about giving myself permission to slow down, breathe, and check in with how I’m feeling. That space to connect with myself has been incredibly nourishing and grounding in my busy life. The diversity in class offerings allows me to always find something to suit my mood, whether I need something relaxing or a more intense workout.

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Absolutely! Since I started practicing at Dragonfly, I’ve noticed significant improvements in both my mental and physical well-being. Physically, I’ve become stronger, more flexible, and have better posture. Mentally, committing to a healthy practice like yoga has been life changing. It has helped me develop a greater sense of balance and mindfulness, which has made me happier overall. By giving myself this time and space to practice, I’ve found that I’m more present and patient in my relationships. I’m more present in my daily life and have a greater sense of peace and balance overall!

How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
On an ideal week, you’ll find me at the Verona, Middleton and Fitchburg locations and I try to get to classes 3-5 times a week. My favorite class…that is such a TOUGH question….I love Power Ups; Taytum has made me fall in love with core for dessert! I also love a good Barre, a grounding Flow 60, or a challenging Core Flow!

Dragonfly is truly such a special place; we really are spoiled by this studio! I had moved to Colorado for a few years and tried studio after studio to find the feeling and community we have here at Dfly and truly never did! Once we moved back home, I couldn’t wait to sign back up for my membership here at Dfly! I want to give a huge thank you to all of the staff at Dragonfly, you all do such an exceptional job…always smiling faces, challenging and fun class structures and great choices in music! When I am not showing up on my mat at Dragonfly you can find me hanging out with friends, running, traveling, golfing, cooking, baking sourdough for my friends and family, wedding planning, doing any sort of DIY home project, gardening, or my personal favorite a cozy day at home with my 3 children *cough cough*… I mean dogs… Couver, Maui and Kodi and my soon to be husband, Will!
