I actually started going to Dragonfly probably about 8 years ago after a really bad break up. I remember going to a flow just to try something new and it felt so good. I also may have cried my way through class, but with all the sweat it was barely noticeable. I took a few years off when I moved away for work, but since I’ve moved back I’ve been going fairly consistently for the last 5 years.
I had no experience and really didn’t think I would enjoy it as much as I do.
I love the variety of classes. Currently I am a regular at barre class, yoga up, power up and circuit up, but I like to throw in a flow class every once in a while. I also love that the instructors are always so wonderfully genuinely kind humans. They have validated me so much in my health journey.
Going to classes here has made me so much stronger physically and gives me some much needed me time. I did barre classes and prenatal yoga until the day before I had my second baby a year ago and it made all the difference in my delivery and recovery. I’ve worked hard and am back to my weight before I had kids, but I’m much stronger than I was before.
I go 3 to 4 days a week, my favorites are barre, and circuit up.
I just love the sense of community here at Dragonfly. It really makes getting up for 6 am class much easier when I know I will be around some great people.
