I moved to Madison at the end of 2022 and was on the hunt for a new gym. However, I was getting a bit burnt out with strictly lifting. A few of my friends recommended Dragonfly, and I conveniently lived down the road from the studio. I had never done group fitness OR yoga, so I was a bit nervous stepping into my first class but I was hooked instantly.
I had no experience with yoga or barre before Dfly, as I strictly lifted for a majority of my life. I had started to incorporate biking and running into my life as well, and figured a Flow could only benefit with recovery. I was so surprised to see how many options Dfly has!
Any class at Dfly leaves me with a smile (and a sore muscle or two). We are always greeted with a smile. I love how upbeat the environment is! I also really appreciate how many different classes are, and that each instructor has their own spin on teaching. No matter what I am needing for my body, there is always a class that will suit me.
Not only has my time spent in Dfly benefited my physical health, but my mental health, too! There is such an emphasis on listening to your body and taking only what you need from class. By practicing this way, I feel like my mind and my body are thankful and reward me after.
I usually attend a class a day as it fits with my work schedule. I am drawn to Power Ups, especially those taught by either of the Geier ladies. Flow and Lift has been added to my weekly regimen and I will drop anything and everything to spend a Saturday morning with Emerson!
Instructor Emerson Boettcher: “Chloe is such a wonderful gal to have in class. She works hard, but smiles the entire way through. It’s always a good day when I see Chloe at dragonfly (and that means most days are good).”
