How did you get started at Dfly? What was your yoga/Barreexperience before Dfly?
I had been enjoying yoga at home for several years, using YouTube videos as my guide. Looking to expand my practice, I was intrigued by the heat component offered at Dfly’s studios. I signed up for the trial and have been a dedicated member ever since.
What do you enjoy most about attending Dfly classes?
I absolutely love the instructors at Dfly. Each one brings a unique perspective and a wealth of knowledge to their practice, creating an incredibly enriching experience. Their diverse approaches keep every class fresh and engaging, and I find that I’m always learning something new. Whether it’s a new technique, a deeper understanding of a pose, or simply a fresh way to connect with my breath, the instructors at Dfly continually inspire and challenge me to grow in my practice. Additionally, Dfly is more than just a place to practice yoga; it’s a vibrant community. The supportive and welcoming environment has allowed me to connect with fellow yogis, fostering friendships and a sense of belonging that makes each visit truly special.
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Hot yoga has been an incredible mind-body experience for me. Since starting regular classes at Dfly, I have noticed significant positive changes in my overall well-being. Physically, the consistent practice has kept me toned and flexible, enhancing my strength and endurance. Mentally, it has provided a much-needed sense of grounding and focus. The heat, combined with the mindful movements and breathwork, helps to release tension and stress, leaving me feeling more centered and calm. Emotionally, the supportive environment and the connection with a like-minded community have contributed to a greater sense of happiness and contentment. Overall, hot yoga at Dfly has been transformative, positively impacting various aspects of my life.
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
2-3X a week and I love the flow classes.

I’m originally from the Chicago area and have been living in Waunakee for the past 15 years. I have three teenage daughters and a grumpy bulldog named Angus Maximus. I’m passionate about leadership and enjoy traveling, live music, sports, meditation, exploring spirituality, and cooking. A few years ago, I learned to fly airplanes, which has been incredibly empowering.
Dfly and hot yoga have added immense value to my life, offering physical benefits, mental clarity, and a wonderful sense of community. I’m grateful for the amazing instructors and the supportive environment that make every class a unique and enriching experience.
