How did you get started at Dfly?
I started at Dfly after really wanting a yoga studio experience post COVID. I love doing yoga at home, but the Dfly community is something special. The amazing instructors and my fellow yogis have really helped me elevate my practice to the next level!
What was your yoga or barre experience before Dfly?
I have had a regular yoga practice since I was 19! I had a back injury playing Rugby and my physical therapist suggested I start yoga for injury prevention. The rest is history!
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I love the community feel of every class. I feel so welcomed. I know that, no matter what, I am in a safe space to grow my practice and build strength and flexibility.
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
Yes! I wandered into Brooklyn’s Yoga up class thinking it was “just another yoga class” and I was instantly hooked! I have gained tons of strength that has really elevated my traditional yoga practice.

As a single dad of three teenagers, a practicing cardiologist, and a cancer survivor, I want to live a full and active life and take nothing for granted. I practice what I preach to my kids and my patients: Being healthy and active is incredibly important for our mental and physical health. Dragonfly gives me the space to stay strong and fit and show the people in my life that I take health and fitness seriously!
