How did you get started at Dfly?
I started at Dfly in April of this year, as a physical extension of my own meditation practice. I live in the Ovation, so it was an easy ride down the elevator to get started!
What is/was your yoga experience before Dfly?
I’d dabbled in some yogic practices while in was in college in Dallas, but never really settled into my own personal practice. Dfly has changed that!
What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I love the sense of community at Dfly and the inclusivity of the space. For all intents and purposes, I am still very much a beginner; each time I walk in the studio I am met with a friendly face and encouragement.
Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
To say yes would be an understatement! Yoga, for me, has become an extension and physical manifestation of my journey to be kind to myself and others. I’m happier, more focused, and healthier. It’s been huge.
How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
When I’m in town and my work schedule allows me to, I get to class every day! When I’m traveling, I do what I can to get in Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. My favorite class is the Tuesday 7:00 Flow & Yin. It’s a good chance to challenge and rejuvenate in one class.
Please feel free to share any other thoughts you have about Dfly, hot yoga, or your life as we would love to know more about you.
I just really hope people know it’s true that Dfly is for everyone! When I walked into the studio in April, I hadn’t moved my body in a very, very long time. I still felt welcomed and encouraged and inspired to start what I’m sure will be a lifelong journey.
Instructor Natalie Koberstein: “Alex radiates light when he practices. He tunes into his body and shuts out everything else around him, giving him a practice that is connected, and true to exactly what he needs in each moment. We all experience such joy when he is in the studio!”
