My sister introduced me to Dfly last year. Last September, I had a pulmonary embolism, and it was a pretty close call. It made me really appreciate the strength of my heart and lungs, and I wanted to continue to grow that strength in a more intentional way than I had before. I started with Slow Flows, mostly making it through so that I could enjoy the cool scented towel at the end of class, but I quickly got hooked! I had taken yoga classes intermittently at a larger gym on and off for a few years before joining Dragonfly.
I love finding new strength in myself, and I love being a part of the Dfly community. The instructors, staff, and fellow yogis are all so welcoming and positive, and it is a great space to learn, try new things, and make mistakes without fear of judgement. It feels like my second home.
I love the feeling of finally being able to get into a pose after months of trying! Dragonfly has been so great for my physical and mental strength. Increased flexibility and core strength have helped me in other activities that I enjoy, like rock climbing. I usually attend morning classes, and the extra mental clarity and calm in the morning has helped me at work, too!
I usually attend class 5 times a week. My favorite class is Tuesday morning Flow with Nichole Vega! I’m trying to make her Power Up class that follows it my favorite too. :) Nichole’s classes are always inventive, fun, motivating, and challenging!
Instructor Nichole Vega: “I get to see Chloe almost every Tuesday morning for flow and then Power Up. She is always smiling and ready to work. I have enjoyed watching Chloe grow on her mat these last few months. It is a pleasure to have you in class and congrats on a well-deserved yogi of the month.”
