Sun Prairie Yogi of the Month: Megan Sellman

How did you get started at Dfly?
A group of friends from work were talking about trying it out as the studio is close to the office and I was asked if I wanted to join them and thought why not, I’m always up for a new challenge.

What is/was your yoga/BarreAmped experience before Dfly?
Honestly my experience before Dfly was basically nonexistent. The only yoga experience I had prior were from a few drop in classes that were offered in high school and college.

What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
No matter what the class, I am challenged in one way or another which is great for me. I also love that each instructor has their own teaching style, which is awesome as it keeps each class unique.

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
One thing I have never been able to do is forward fold and touch my toes, since starting at Dfly I am able to now touch my toes. It doesn’t seem like a big deal but I was so excited when I could finally achieve it. I also find yoga as an outlet. No matter what type of day I have I am always relaxed after class.

How often do you attend classes? Favorite class?
Yoga Up is my favorite. I try to make to make it to class at least 3 times a week. I am not always successful, but it’s always a good week if I can make it to more classes.

I love the atmosphere that Dfly provides. All instructors are welcoming to what stage you are at in your practice whether you are just beginning or extremely advanced. Yoga will be a part of my routine for many years to come and I am glad Dfly has started me on this journey.
