I started at Dragonfly when I stopped traveling weekly for work. Travel and lack of exercise had begun to take a toll on my overall health. I knew I needed to make a change. It was hard for me to figure out what I should do considering I never liked working out. I had taken some hot yoga classes at another studio a few years prior and liked them, so when my wife said she wanted to try Dragonfly Hot Yoga, I was willing to give it a try. When I began attending classes I liked the environment and the teachers from the first class- I had finally found an exercise I really enjoyed!
I almost exclusively attend Flow classes in the early mornings. I try to attend 4-5 times a week. As my practice has become more regular, I have noticed increased physical gains and awareness of my body. With each class I attend I continue to be challenged and surprised by the advancement of my practice.
I attribute attending classes at Dragonfly to the improvement in my overall health. When I began attending I was at the highest weight of my life and had hypertension for more than 10 years. Now, a year and a half later I am at the weight I was at 10 years ago and I have been un-diagnosed with hypertension.
I look forward to staying with my practice to keep myself in a healthy place for many years to come.
