As a registered nurse and clinical informaticist/project manager/former road warrior, I began my yoga practice at Dragonfly in 2012 as restorative self-care. As a long-time runner and to-do list devotee, I struggled to quiet my mind and really accept other forms of exercise. That’s how I knew I needed yoga. I started with vinyasa flow, and quickly found barre, yin, and other classes at Dragonfly. I took a trip to Vietnam and Bali with my husband in Fall 2017, and this continued to ignite my passion for yoga. I received my BarreAmped Foundations certification in March 2018.

Why I Love Dragonfly
I love the community and truly feel at home at Dragonfly. I feel empowered and energized by the teachers and students. The quote, “dragonflies are reminders that we are light and we can reflect light in powerful ways if we choose to do so,” exemplifies what it means to be a part of the Dragonfly family.
Little Known Fact About Me
Although I hate public speaking, I presented on stage (in a wizard costume, nonetheless) to roughly 17,000 people.
