Sun Prairie Yogi of the Month: Dawn Reininger

How did you get started at Dfly?
10 years ago my daughters introduced me to hot yoga.

What was your yoga/barreamped experience before Dfly?
The classes I have attended are; hot yoga, barre and spinning.

What do you enjoy most from attending Dfly classes?
I have had a long history of back pain. With regular yoga practice I have found relief and flexibility.

Have you experienced any changes in your total well-being since taking classes?
After a busy day at work, yoga at Dfly makes me feel centered and re charged.

How often do you attend classes?
I attend class 2-3 times a week. Yoga Up and Power Up are my favorites.

Please feel free to share any other thoughts you have about Dfly, hot yoga, or your life as we would love to know more about you.
I am an oncology nurse @ UW Health. I live with my husband in Sun Prairie. We have 2 married daughters and 4 grandchildren. I like to swim and bike in addition to yoga to keep physically fit. I am grateful to have Dfly close to home in Sun Prairie. Yoga helps keep my work / life balance in check.

Middleton Yogi of the Month: Jennifer Norr

How did you get started at Dfly?
I started with the groupon $40 for unlimited classes for a month.

What was your yoga/barreamped experience before Dfly?
My first yoga class was when I was in Second Grade taught by my Mom who studied in India. Fast forward a few years (well, more like decades), I started doing Yin classes to work on my flexibility. After a year or two, I started taking Flow classes. The heat really helped my flexibility and my recovery from running, rowing and weight lifting. Then, when my favorite weight trainer stopped teaching, I treated myself to Power Up/Yoga Up/Circuit Up. It took me 6 months to acclimate to the heat but it was so much more fun than going to the gym and easier than creating all my routines.

Fitchburg Yogi of the Month: Brian Squire

A good friend and co-worker convinced me to give yoga a try when I was training to run my first marathon as a way to build strength, increase flexibility, and aid in recovery. It took her a lot of convincing because I had a completely ignorant idea of what yoga was and because I was worried that I would look foolish. I was so nervous my first class but I’m extremely grateful to her for convincing me to go and to stick with it.

I very foolishly thought that yoga wasn’t really exercise. To be honest the only yoga I had ever seen was seniors doing yoga at either the YMCA or the community center where I work and as I mentioned earlier I was completely ignorant to what yoga really was and could be.

Downtown Yogi of the Month: Lindsay Stieber

How did you get started at Dfly?
My husband bought me a membership for Christmas 2017. I had always wanted to try hot yoga and thought it would be a great way to de-stress and practice my mindfulness, as well as do something good for my body.

What is/was your yoga/BarreAmped experience before Dfly?
Before Dragonfly I had only taken one hot yoga class and did not enjoy it at all! I hadn’t had a consistent exercise routine in several years because I couldn’t find something that I enjoyed or could commit to long term.
