I live in the neighborhood, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw that Dragonfly Hot Yoga was opening soon and within walking distance from my home. Prior to Dragonfly, I had taken a few yoga classes near work as a lunchtime experience, but sometimes found it hard to make the time. Yoga classes at Dragonfly are amazing because the people and the atmosphere are warm and inviting.
With every class, my body loosens up more and my mind relaxes. I know we all get a little annoyed or angry when something doesn’t go our way, whether it’s spilling a cup of coffee or a piece of tech breaks unexpectedly. With my yoga practice, I find myself overcoming each obstacle with calmness and serene thought.
I aim to take class 7-10 times a week. When I’m away for more than 3 days I go through yoga withdrawal.
My best advice to new yogis is to go into this experience with no set expectations and open your mind and body to all this practice can provide for you. It will be different for each person, but give yourself to the practice and change will come.
Instructor Kristin Wilson: “It is apparent that Fei is extremely committed to furthering his yoga practice. He always comes in to Dfly with a smile on his face, whether it be at 5:30am for a Flow class or 8:30pm for an Aroma Yin class. I truly believe that his focus, breath and poise inspires the other yogis around him. We all love having Fei as a dedicated member at Dragonfly in Sun Prairie!”
