Middleton Yogi of the Month: Hannah Gern

Hannah is a recent college graduate, earning a degree in Environmental Biology. She maintained an active lifestyle working out at the campus wellness center. Her degree program required completing an activity credit. Out of the many activity classes offered, she chose Yoga! She is so happy that she did, as it has led her to a regular Hot Yoga practice at Dragonfly.

The summer Dragonfly Hot Yoga Groupon brought her to the studio and she was excited to become a member. Her first class at Dfly was with instructor Carrie Johnson. The challenge she experienced in her first class is what brought her back for more and she has continued to grow ever since.

Hannah regularly attends our wide variety of classes: Core, Yin, Flow, Fusion and BarreAmped. The variety is what helps her from experiencing the common workout rut. She likes to mix it up and plans her classes around what works with her schedule. “No other workout gives me the comfort of achievement and relaxation like Yoga does. Knowing I can always come back to my mat and move to feel that way makes me smile.”

From Instructor Carrie Johnson: “Hannah is a down-to-earth Yogi. She loves to challenge herself and she has a positive attitude. She always has a smile on her face while centering and setting an intention before class and even when she is dripping sweat from holding a pose. Her positive energy really flows to the class as well and helps the students around her grow and shine just like she does every time she rolls out her mat.”
