I started going to Dragonfly Hot Yoga when the new downtown location opened. Since I moved back downtown, Dfly was a convenient location. I immediately realized Dfly was my new yoga studio and started a membership. I have been practicing yoga for about 10 years, but I only started taking classes at a studio 3 years ago. Hot yoga classes were my first classes at a studio, and I knew I was hooked.
I was getting over a knee injury, and the heat helped me work through it. I found that the heat helps the breath, movement, and mediation to come together as one. I’m a busy grad student with several jobs. From the moment I step into Dfly, the staff is very welcoming and the heat is soothing. The class ends with a relaxing savasana and my stressful day slips away.
Dfly offers many different classes from BarreAmped to a Flow class to a relaxing Yin class, so I’m never bored. Depending on what yoga class I’m in the mood for, Dfly has the solution. I like all the classes at Dfly, so I am here often! I really hate cardio, but I know it is so good for you, so the Power Up class followed by a Yin class is my favorite combination. A Yin class after a Power Up class is the perfect treat!
Emily Sawin, Instructor, says: “Michele has a smile that can light up a room, and her positive energy is felt by all those around her. Her commitment to her practice is evident as she is constantly challenging herself by taking a variety of class styles each week inspiring all her fellow yogis!”
